St Kilda Town Hall is a heritage landmark that was built in 1890 by local architect William Pitt. The classical portico was added in 1925. What a fitting space to welcome new Australian citizens on 26thJanuary 2025.

About 120 Port Phillip residents from 41 countries became Australian citizens at a citizenship ceremony at the St Kilda Town Hall. There was a sense of excitement as conferees were presented with their citizenship, along with a wattle pin and a native Australian plant.
A performance by the Low Rez choir was held a and a delicious sausage sizzle outside on the lawns added to the celebratory atmosphere.

Many thanks to the fantastic team from Port Phillip Rotary for the organisation, cooking and serving to the newest intake.  It was a busy but fun day.  As Alan said, “You’re not an Aussie until you have a Rotary Sausage”. The sausages flew off the table in a rush so the conferees passed Step Two of Australian Citizenship!
