As we reflect on the year, we’re filled with gratitude for the tremendous support that has helped us make a lasting impact on the lives of so many vulnerable babies, children, and youth in Victoria. With your continued generosity, we’ve been able to provide material aid, ensuring that babies, children and youth have the essentials they need to thrive, no matter their circumstances.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we step into 2025, we are filled with energy and determination to continue making a difference for the babies, children, and youth we support. However, the need for our programs is growing. Request for our services have increased, resulting in a increase of 8.4% of Packs delivered from 2023 to 2024. We are estimating a further increase of 13.6% in the number of Packs delivered in this financial year. At Backpacks 4 Vic Kids, we are committed to meeting this rising demand, but this means that we must do even more to ensure no child is left behind.
We have ambitious plans for the year ahead:
Increasing Fundraising to deliver more My Essentials Packs, providing vital support for children in crisis to help them feel secure, valued, and supported.
Significantly increasing our delivery goals for the Youth Outreach Program, offering more care and support to vulnerable youth and instilling hope through essential aid.
Strengthening Partnerships and finding innovative ways to engage the community in supporting the most vulnerable children across Victoria.
Building New Partnerships to expand our reach and impact, working together to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families in need.
While we are doing everything we can to meet these needs, the road ahead will not be easy. The growing demand, combined with the challenging fundraising climate, means we must focus even more on increasing donations and securing support.
