The 2026 Melbourne Celtic Festival took place on Tuesday, March 17, from 12 pm to 11 pm at the Mission to Seafarers complex in Southbank, featuring 11 hours of live music across multiple stages. The Melbourne Celtic Festival has pulled out the big guns for their headline act with none other than the Scottish outfit Skerryvore. As three-time winners of Scotland’s Live Act of the Year Award, this vibrant collection of bagpipes, whistles, fiddles, accordions, vocals and guitars – seamlessly guided by an underpinning of driving bass, drums and keys – knows how to put on one craic of a show. The lineup included The Bushwackers, Claymore, Cora Browne Trio, Erin Russell Bagpipes, Gráinne Hunt (IRE), Green Fieldz, Homebru, Inn Echo (CAN), Jules Stewart (USA), Kathryn Clements Melbourne Céilí Band, Maggie Carty, and more.

A fully licensed bar with Guinness on tap, the "Wee Kitchen" food vendors, and a "Big Baked Hot Potato" stand. Known for its intimate atmosphere and top-tier local/international talent, it is widely considered a premier, must-see Melbourne event.

There was bucketloads of community spirit and non-stop craic as these performers take over Seafarers in a celebration of culture, arts and the Celtic community.
