Your support has made such a difference for so many families, especially for the women and children who now have privacy, safety and dignity with their own washroom toilet.
And yet, there is so much more to be done.
The life changing impact that a washroom toilet makes is incredible. The recent feedback from a cross section of villagers, village chiefs and commune leaders have confirmed this.
Although the families tell us that it has changed their lives, “no more using the bush”, “no more fear of snakes and scorpions at night”, but the underlying change has been in the groundwater, no fecal (sewage) contamination of the bore water. The septic tank systems we are installing are protecting the ground water. The result is clean bore water for household use. Fecal free water for washing the children, washing the vegetables etc.
