Milla doesn't wear a cape but she is a super hero to a young family who lost their belongings and business in a house fire. When Milla heard the story, she knew she had to act…and act she did! Milla used her connections with RIMERN and Bronwyn to get the ball rolling.
When disaster strikes, community comes together. 💙 🇧🇷 Rotary Port Phillip was proud to work alongside Rotary RIMERN to support a young Brazilian family who lost everything when their home was destroyed in a fire caused by a battery explosion.
With a baby due in just two months and a three-year-old daughter, this family faced the heartbreaking task of starting over from nothing.
Together, we helped transform an empty house into a home by providing essential furniture and household items, including beds, a sofa, linen, kitchenware, cutlery, a refrigerator, washing machine, television, vacuum cleaner, and many other everyday necessities.
Everyone deserves the dignity of a safe and welcoming home. We hope this support gives this young family the foundation they need to rebuild their lives and look forward to welcoming their new baby with hope for the future.
