Hello, Sue and members of the Rotary Club of Port Phillip,
I hope you are doing well and staying healthy!
 
I would like to share with you about my activities in March. It was a very great activity for me this month.

 

First, I will tell you about my study at PUC University. I am taking three courses this term such as Communication, Academic Research, and Accounting. I enjoyed the three courses because I learned something new from them as well as communication. I have a group presentation and also an individual presentation as well. It makes me more confident when I speak English and share ideas in my teamwork.

 

I used to share project G with my professor and my classmates and they were very interested in this topic. More than this, the academic research class is very good for me too, because I learned about research and getting accurate information on the internet to avoid plagiarism. It is a very great class where I can learn a lot about how to use the right resources from the internet. Back to accounting, it is very interesting as well as communication and academic research but it was a bit hard for me because I'm not good at math and English, that is why I am still confused about some exercises. I used to join the extra class with my senior students, and she explained to me some concerns or some critical words in accounting. However, I will try my best to study hard and get better results as much as I can.

 

 

The second thing is playing sports with CRST students is one of my favourite things to do. It not only keeps me physically active and healthy, but it also allows me to bond with others who share my passion for sports. Whether it's a casual game of pickup ball or a Khmer game organized by a sports team, I always look forward to the opportunity to play. Sports also provide a great way to relieve stress and clear my mind. When I'm on the court or field, I'm able to focus solely on the game and leave all of my worries and distractions behind. It's a refreshing break from the demands of everyday life, and I always feel recharged and ready to tackle whatever comes my way after a good game.
In addition, I was able to attend a workshop with our senior sister Lean and her boss Mrr Vanna. It is a wonderful opportunity for me to learn about the topic " The Power of Dreams". This may be a great chance for me because, in addition to giving me the chance to learn from these seasoned experts, these events also give me the ability to network with new people. I have gained new knowledge from these courses, such as how to set my goals and achieve my dream. I really appreciate Bong Lean and her supervisor for spending their valuable time to share a good experience and knowledge with us.

 

Finally, about my activity at the Rotaract Club of Siem Reap. I had joined raise funds activities with our Rotaract members on the River festival by selling some food and sweets. The three days of fund raising were fantastic because we received a lot of support and donations from local and foreign customers. We had a great time raising money for our community and shared our club's mission to help back our society. We are excited to raise funds to install street libraries in Siem Reap province to promote literacy through reading books in the community. Appreciate to all beautiful heart customers for your support and for joining us in fundraising events to break poverty through education for the next generation in Cambodia. Not only that, we are in the process of building a street library with our members of the Rotaract Club. We are very happy that it has promoted reading books through our new project.  We hope that many children and people will have the opportunity to gain new knowledge from our street library.
