Energy Efficiency in Social Housing Program
We have been busy in the lead up to the end of year pouring over property data to prepare a submission to a newly announced program. The Energy Efficiency in Social Housing Program (EESHP), a partnership between the Victorian and Australian Government, will deliver up to 45,000 individual energy efficiency upgrades, including 5,000 fully electrified homes. We are hopeful we can help deliver improved energy efficiency and liveability throughout the older social housing dwellings we manage to help our residents save on their energy bills and deliver other benefits, including comfort and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

New Homelessness and Affordable Housing Strategy
We were pleased to see City of Port Phillip Council unanimously adopt a new 10 year Homelessness and Affordable Housing Strategy last week, to which we made a detailed submission in October this year. The strategy intends to champion the development of new affordable housing, seek to protect existing affordable housing stock, and advocate for greater security and affordability in the rental market.
