Hello Sue and member of the Rotary Club of Port Phillip
I hope you are doing well and staying healthy! I am so excited to share with you about my wonderful activity in July. In this month, I have done many activities through our NGO project and mission. It was a very wonderful activity that will create good memories and experience for me.

Let’s start with my study at both University at PUC and my extra class at our NGO. I have already completed my midterm exam and just received the result. I got 100/100 in HR subject, 93/100 in Microeconomic subject, and 93/100 in ASEAN Government subject. It was such a good result and I was really happy. As I mentioned in my previous email that Microeconomic subject was very hard for me because I need to draw the graph and hard to calculate the answer. However, I can do it even though it is not a very good result but I am happy and accept this score. More than this, I really enjoy and am involved with the ASEAN Government class because we can bring the breaking news around the world to discuss in our class that is really helpful to the students to learn and improve our knowledge. Back to our Chinese class, I can say that it was a wonderful class for me even in the early morning but I still want to join. In this class, we do not focus on writing but we focus on speaking. Our teacher always tries to help us to read and correct our pronunciation when we speak. He also reviews the lesson before class, maybe 10-20 minute to make sure that we all understand about the lesson and we can remember the vocabulary in the last session. I really enjoyed this class because it was very funny and it did not make me feel bored. We always try to read the new vocabulary that sometimes we have wrong pronunciation but we continue with laughing together. Anyway, I will try my best with both my study at University and my extra class at our NGO to get as good a result as possible.
In addition, I have the opportunity to join the Project G workshop at RECH NGO. It is such a good opportunity for me that I stand before the young girl to share the lesson and inspire them. During that day, we leave our campus at 7:30 AM and we start our lesson at 8 AM. I respond on the first part and my partner will respond on the second part. For my part, I teach about women's health and hygiene that focus on menstruation that makes some girls in my class very shy even if they live in the city but they never discuss it before. Their mom told them that they cannot talk about menstruation and women's health to someone or in the public because it was not a good picture for the women or girls in our country. By the way, I try to explain and encourage them to open their minds to learn about menstruation because it is really important for them in the future. After that I encourage them, they start to get involved with us and ask a lot of questions that are related to menstruation. They are also interested in our Kits product that we show them about how to use and benefit. They really want to use our kits because it is safe and does not affect their health. For me, I am really happy to join Project G workshop as I can help them to understand that girls have enough rights to learn, grow, and develop their skills like boys or men. More than this, I teach them about women's health that focus on menstruation that is really important in their life. I hope that I can join Project G as much as I can before I graduate from University.

Another interesting activity that I will share with you is about the Public Speaking Program. I am one of the candidates for a public speaking program this year. I am really excited to join this program because I can learn a lot from my mentor (Bong Pheak). Bong Pheak always helps me to check my script and also correct some parts of my life story and make it a more inspirational and powerful script. I often practice my script with Bong Pheak online to make sure that I can remember my script and I can pronounce the right words. He also shares some tips and encourages me to practice every day. I practice my script every morning and before bed, especially when I ride my motorcycle. When the traffic light turns to the red colour, some people look at me but I don’t care, I just continue my script. It was so funny right when I was talking alone but it was really helpful to me. I did it every day and it helped me to remember my script effectively. Moreover, I have already completed my rehearsal with former ambassador and Bong Deob. It was the first time in my life that I stood before many people and told my life story to them. I was a bit excited and a bit nervous during that time even though some of the former ambassadors are my friends but I was still nervous because on that day we had different positions. Anyway, I can do my best even if I missed some pronunciation and lack emotion but I can remember all my script. I am also receiving some feedback from them and I will improve and do my best in the final stage.

Last but not least, I also joined the humanitarian activity at Svay Ler district as well. I think you may know about the conflict between Cambodia and Thailand that happened on 24th July 2025. It was very painful when I saw many people, especially the children and old people move from their homes to other places just to be safe. While this happened, we prepared some supplies for the family who moved from the border such as noodles, rice, soy source, fish canned mackerel, and school material for the children. On that day, we left Siem Reap city in the early morning because it was far away from the city. When we arrived at that place, I was very emotional when I saw many children and old people sitting under the tree waiting for us. They move from the warm home to stay in the pagoda that lacks electricity, clean water, especially food. So many children that cannot go to school, and pregnant women who lack care from their husbands are busy fulfilling their duties of protecting the homeland at the border. One little boy asked me that when they can go back, they really miss their home, their school, and also miss their father who is a soldier. It was not the critical question but it stuck and I never met a hard question like this before. Only one answer that I give to him is “Waiting until everything is better”. Anyway, they were very happy with food, solar buddy light, and school material that we gave to them. They say thank you to us again and again for helping them during that time. I hope everything is getting better soon and they can go back home, especially I pray for our soldiers to stay strong and stay safe. Cambodia only needs peace.
Finally, I would like to say thank you so much for your valuable time reading my email and supporting me for a long time. I also attach some of my pictures to you as well. I hope you enjoy reading my email.

Best Regards
