Are you after a book that will set you thinking, have you wondering and leave you incredulous, then CATCH AND KILL by Ronan Farrow is the go to for you! The title refers to catching a story and killing it before it becomes public knowledge, not committing murder as it may suggest.
Ronan Farrow is the son of the famous actor Mia Farrow and the infamous director, Woody Allen. Ronan is a lawyer and he certainly used his background well to ensure all facts are true so that litigations would not ensue. His research was meticulous and his empathy very strong, as the victims named took quite some time to risk outing Weinstein, as well as many others, due to ongoing trauma at their hands and the conspiracy of silence enveloping the industry.
Now don’t think, ‘Well why would I read that because I know the ending’, because it is an expose of a culture that was allowed to flourish openly and for many years.  It is not unique to that industry or that country.  It is evident world wide in many forms and by understanding more about the conditions and culture, we are more able to call it out. Unfortunately, it’s not the ending!
