NEW CLUB DEVELOPMENT MONTH

I am spruiking about something close to my heart! Membership and new club development month.  As a proud Rotarian, I am here to tell you that there are many ways to join in the celebration, but here are a few activities to get you started:

  • Say it loud, say it proud! Let everyone in your social network know that you are a proud member by changing your Twitter and Facebook profile to the I’m a Proud Member, I’m a Proud Rotaractor, or I am a Proud Interactor graphic. Copy and save the graphic as your profile picture for August.

  • Exchange ideas. Do you have successful membership strategies that have worked well in your community? Share them on the Membership Best Practices Discussion Group.

  • We Are Rotary. Using the hashtag #WeAreRotary, post photos to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Vine of your club members at work in your community or abroad to show how Rotary makes a positive impact in the world.

  • Making a difference. Rotary clubs are known for the high-impact service projects they undertake locally and globally. Share stories about your service projects and how they improve lives on Rotary Showcase. Be sure to follow us on Facebook Twitter, and Instagram to see what Rotary members around the world are doing to celebrate Membership Month.

  • What does Rotary mean to you? Rotary members have pushed polio to the brink of eradication, delivered clean water to those in need, improved their local communities, provided scholarships to the next generation of peacemakers, and continued to do good in the world.

Let's continue to make a difference and grow our club!

MICHAEL LAPINA DG 9800 Visit

Unlocking the Magic: A Year of Transformation with Governor Michael.

Michael took us on a dive deep into the goals for the coming year, focusing on creating an irresistible membership experience through understanding our "ikigai," healing divides within our communities and clubs, and embracing youth as the "Now."

We learnt about fostering trust in leadership, promoting mentorship, and playing the long game with strategic succession planning. We discovered how sharing unique skills and vocations can create a sense of belonging and empowerment, ensuring a transformative and impactful year for Rotary. We are part of the magic!

JULY UPDATE FROM SREYPICH
Once again, we have had a wonderful email from our sponsor Rotaracter from Siem Reap, Cambodia Rotaract Club.

Hello Sue and member of the Rotary Club of Port Phillip
I hope you are doing well and staying healthy!
I am very excited to write the email to you again about activities that I have done in this month and I hope you enjoy reading this email.
The first thing is about my education, as I have already mentioned in the last email that I started a new term and did the midterm exam already. For the midterm exam, I got 40/40 points on accounting II course, 40/40 point on health education course, and 39/40 on introduction to computer course. Now, I start to prepare and review some lessons for the final exam season. I’m very excited and also nervous because I am really stressed about accounting II subjects as it was very hard for me to get good results like the midterm exam. By the way, health education is my favorite subject this term because I can learn a lot from other group presentations and also my teamwork as well. Besides that, I learned this subject with professor Or Malineth and she is good at sharing information and her experiences to all the students. It is such a remarkable educational experience to study. Anyway I will study hard and get a better result in this term as much as I can.

MAC ROBERTSON GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL INTERACT CLUB
FOR A MEAL PACKING DAY

The Mac Rob Interact Club have once again shown themselves to be outstanding organisers.  I contacted the team to ascertain how much more had to be achieved before the packing day.  As it has turned out, a lot of nervous energy expended on my part for no reason at all.  Please see the email I received from Chloe, the co-president.
