The Morning Crew Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self. Interact members show an interest in other people's work, problems and success, co-operate in the advancement of International Understanding, Goodwill and Peace. They spread the ideals of service, which is the spirit of Rotary. The Afternoon Crew The Mac Robertson Girls' High School Interact club have been planning, organising and implementing a plan for many months to ensure a seamless running of the barbecue at Bunnings. The money raised by the barbecue is to pay for the raw materials needed for the For A Meal project that will be held in the afternoon of the 5th August and all day on the 6th August. FORaMEAL, a project of the Rotary Club of Canterbury is an initiative to help provide emergency relief meals for those impacted by natural disasters. Each year over 250,000 meals are provided free of charge to vulnerable individuals and families across the Asia Pacific region in times of disaster. To date, over 1,100,000 meals have been distributed for FREE! Please volunteer on either or both days if you can. Saturday 21st June was Sausage Sizzle Day at Bunnings Port Melbourne. What a huge success so well done to the girls for their organisation. Thank you to Alan Samuel and Gerard Moran for assisting with the morning shift and to Pam for assisting in the afternoon shift. A HUGE shout out to the girls and the parents who assisted on the day. An appreciative sausage dog at the sausage sizzle. |
