Once again, we have had a wonderful email from our sponsor Rotaracter from Siem Reap, Cambodia Rotaract Club.

Hello Sue and member of the Rotary Club of Port Phillip
I hope you are doing well and staying healthy!
I am very excited to write the email to you again about activities that I have done in this month and I hope you enjoy reading this email.
The first thing is about my education, as I have already mentioned in the last email that I started a new term and did the midterm exam already. For the midterm exam, I got 40/40 points on accounting II course, 40/40 point on health education course, and 39/40 on introduction to computer course. Now, I start to prepare and review some lessons for the final exam season. I’m very excited and also nervous because I am really stressed about accounting II subjects as it was very hard for me to get good results like the midterm exam. By the way, health education is my favorite subject this term because I can learn a lot from other group presentations and also my teamwork as well. Besides that, I learned this subject with professor Or Malineth and she is good at sharing information and her experiences to all the students. It is such a remarkable educational experience to study. Anyway I will study hard and get a better result in this term as much as I can.

In addition, I have joined with Project G workshop at Thlung secondary schools. I responded to the first part that talked about health education lessons and my partner responded to the human trafficking lesson to female students. During the lesson, some of the female students were very shy when we talked about the human reproductive system including the male reproductive system. But, we try to encourage them to learn and involve themselves with the lesson because in the future they can prevent this problem. After that, they open their minds to study and ask us a lot of questions . It makes me happy when I see them stop being shy and get involved with us. One more thing, we also showed the kits to them about how they can clean and use it in the right way. There are 115 female students that we provided kits to them for using when they have periods. For me, I was very happy when I had an opportunity to share the knowledge to the students in the rural area. It makes me feel that I am a useful person in my society and I will join every workshop in the Project in the future.
Besides the PG workshop, I also attended the Mobile By Mechanic (MBM) activities at Chan Sor secondary school. Before activities, the Project B team worked hard to prepare the material for the fixed bike and also prepare ingredients, meat, vegetables for cooking as well. On that day, we need to get up early in the morning to cook breakfast before we leave the campus to Chan sor secondary school. That day I was working as a cook in a team where we cooked fried chicken, mchour khties soup, and dessert for lunchtime. We also have a small break after we have lunch together. Moreover, we fixed 170 bikes per day, it was amazing and I really appreciate all our students that they have a beautiful heart to fix a lot of bikes for children. It is the way that we can help them to continue their study through fixed bikes because some students want to study but they don't have transportation and their home is very far away from school that is why they decided to drop out of school. Lastly, I also joined with Project B to interview students at Run Ta Ek high school as well.
As I mentioned before, we fix bikes for the children in the rural area but this activity we conducted to find the students who really need transportation to go to school and then we provide a bike for them. My partner and I have asked them a lot of questions that relate to their study record (Average and Rank) and their family conditions. I feel sorry to hear that two of the students that I went to interview are in a bad condition because they don't have parents and are staying with their aunt’s family. Before I thought I was in bad conditions but at least I have my parents to encourage and give me warmth every day. Anyway, I really appreciate their aunt and her husband that try to afford them and always encourage them to continue their study even they earn a little money. For me, I am very happy to be a part of this activity in the future.
Thank you so much for spending your valuable time reading my email every month. I also attached some of my photos to you as well, please enjoy your reading.

Best regards
