It started like any other summer Saturday, sailing lessons on Albert Park Lake, a coffee or two in Fitzroy street, Yet this weekend plans were a little different as I needed to be at the Hyatt Essendon Fields by 5pm for pre dinner fellowship and dinner. The occasion was President Elect training.
I must admit I was a little abrehensive in attending as I didn't know what to expect. Little did I realise I was in very good hands wiith a warmth of welcoming and a very well organised event.
The MC called out each of the PE's, quite some challenge as there was a conference room full of us and the dinner was an excellent set up for the day ahead. The bonus was seeing a couple of familiar faces in the crowd, Pam and Sue in particular.
The Sunday was chock full of sessions, very informative with solid and exciting plans for the year ahead. Amanda Wendt will make a terrific District Govenor, one I'm sure you'll see as the year unfolds.

So what did I learn?
Rotary in 2022 is even more relevant than it's ever been as we live in such challening times, the mantra "Serve to save lives" being a focus for our collective efforts.
