Port Phillip Rotary is sponsoring three students from the Interact club of Mac Robertson Girls’ Secondary to attend the upcoming camp. RYPEN (Rotary's Youth Program of Enrichment) is a series of youth camps organized by Rotary in Australia and New Zealand to help Year 9-12 students build confidence, leadership, and life skills through various activities.
What is RYPEN?
- Purpose:
To develop personal potential in young people by building confidence, self-esteem, resilience, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Target Audience:
Primarily for students in Years 9-12 who show potential, not necessarily academic or natural leaders, and who could benefit from encouragement to shine.
- Activities:
Involves motivational speakers, outdoor challenges, team-building activities, and social experiences designed to foster personal growth.
- Philosophy:
The program emphasizes active participation, with participants expected to strive for and attempt all offered activities to maximize the enrichment experience.
The next RYPEN camp will be at Camp Getaway, 5th September - 7 September 2025. Good luck Jannat, Joanna and Alma. We look forward to hearing about your adventures.
