RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) is a weekend-long residential camp designed to empower teenagers (typically ages 14–17) by building their communication skills, self-confidence, and resilience. The program uses guest speakers, interactive workshops, and team-building challenges in a safe, supportive environment.

I had a great time at the RYPEN camp and truly appreciated the opportunity to attend. Throughout the camp, I met so many new and amazing people and formed connections that made the experience even more enjoyable. The activities and guest speakers were very engaging and interesting, and they encouraged me to think more deeply about leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. The facilities at the campground were also really nice and created a very welcoming environment. In addition, all of the volunteers were incredibly kind and supportive, and they made us feel so comfortable that we didn’t even miss home. By the end of the camp, I genuinely felt that I had grown immensely, not only as a leader, but also as an individual.

The opportunity to attend the RYPEN Camp is something that I'll forever be grateful for. Attending RYPEN was an incredibly rewarding experience that allowed me to step outside my comfort zone, meet new people, and develop important leadership and teamwork skills. One of the biggest personal benefits I gained from the camp was increased confidence in communicating and collaborating with others, which the many mentors supported me throughout. My favourite moments from the camp were the various team-building activities where everyone was able to connect and share their experiences. These activities created a welcoming and supportive environment, where I was able to form friendships with people I otherwise would never have met. I'd recommend everyone to apply and be as open-minded as possible to truly enjoy the experience and get the most out of it! I am very grateful to the Rotary Club of Port Phillip for supporting Mac.Rob students in making this opportunity possible and hope that through continued connection, more students may be able to strengthen and grow their leadership skills.
