Hello Sue and member of the Rotary Club of Port Phillip
I hope you’re doing well and staying healthy!

I am very excited to share with you about my activities in June. I have done a lot of activities in my daily life. I have learned and got a lot of new experiences from all the activities this month.
Starting from my study at PUC University, this term was very hard for me because some subjects were very hard to understand but it still went smoothly. For me, I really enjoyed the health education course because I can learn about the health education that it relates to our daily routine. I have learned how to prevent hepatitis, diarrhea, cervical cancer and dengue disease from our professors. One more thing, I have done the midterm’s exam and the presentation in this course, and my topic is about nutrition basics. It helps me to understand about three classes of food and essential food that we need to have every day. This topic is very important for us, especially for the children that will face malnutrition more than adults. However, I want to share with you about the TDSO class, which is a special class that provides us with reading, speaking, and writing skills. In this class, it was very helpful for me because I can improve my reading, speaking, and writing skills a lot, even it is not very good, it is better than before I joined this class.

In addition, I have joined the Business Class that our seniors come to share with us this month. Our senior brings the wonderful topic to share with us, the topic talking about networking. Both of them are very amazing speakers because they share a lot of their experiences with us. They share with us about how to have good networking or connections with other people. More than this they share with us to prepare ourselves when we have job interviews that very important points to know and be prepared before we come to job interview. For me, I really appreciate that they always spend the valuable time to share with us about the reality of their experiences. I like to join business class so much because I can get the new knowledge from our seniors or from the other speakers that have a lot of good lessons and good experiences to share with us. This class pushes me to build confidence, make connections with people around me, and be well prepared for my life even study, and work.

Besides I joined with business class, I also joined with the Family support (FS) activities as well. I went to visit Mrs. Pharn’s family in Bakong district. As always, we met at the CRST campus at 1:30 p.m., and went to the market. When we arrived there, Thavry and I got into the market to check the materials that had already been ordered such as food, rice, and ingredients for the family. We took an hour to arrive at her house. When we arrived there, we saw her mother washing clothes near the as well. She was very welcome to us and very happy to see us come to visit her family. Now day, Mrs. Pharn lives with her mother and her son but she is not in good condition because of her chronic disease. She cannot go to work or do anything, so her mother and her son need to take care of everything. Based on her mother’s advice, she doesn't eat as much rice as before. However, her mother always goes to the pharmacy monthly to get the medicine for her every month. We also asked grandma and her son about their health as well and provided her with the food, rice, ingredients, and bread. She was so happy with the supplies that we provided to her and said thank you to our NGO that helped and supported her family for a long time. She also wished us good health and more happiness. I was very emotional when I saw her family in a bad situation but we try to help her as much as we can. I really want to join this activity because I can help back our society even if it is not much but it is very helpful for them.

Last but not least, I have attended Project W workshops as an educator at Kna Sanday high schools. During that time, we share the importance of drinking clean water to maintain good health. In addition, environmental hygiene and nutrition are also included in the lessons. The purpose of this lesson is to raise awareness among students and rural communities about this important knowledge. We hope that students will gain this important knowledge from our lessons and be able to share what they have learned with their community. Back to the students in this school, they were very involved with us so much. They asked a question that relates to our lessons. I am very happy to see they are satisfied to learn from us. One more thing, they said that they will share the knowledge to their family and friends, especially about making clean water by using sunlight and s afe stickers. I am really happy to join the Project W workshop again and again.

I also attached some pictures of my activities in June. Anyway, thank you so much for spending a lot of valuable time reading my emails. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much🙏❤️

Best regards 💙
